“I’m very proud to be part of a company that’s making history in the transportation industry.”

What do you think contributes to your success at GLS?
Working at GLS is all about teamwork, especially in the IT department. Having a close working relationship and open communication with my team members is unequivocally the biggest factor in my success as a manager. My team trusts my leadership and knows how to get things done, and I’m very grateful for their incessant hard work and dedication.

What makes you proud to work at GLS?
GLS is always growing and striving to be better, and I’m very proud to be part of a company that’s making history in the transportation industry. Working in an environment where everyone is so passionate about what they do is an extremely positive experience, and I think that’s something all of us at GLS should be proud of. From an IT perspective, I love how GLS encourages an innovative culture.

What was your favorite part of the 2016 Circle of Excellence celebration?
The awards ceremony was by far the most fulfilling part of the celebration for me. Being recognized for my work really made me feel valued. Listening to the acceptance speeches of people from different departments made me realize that we all share the same passion and pride in our work at GLS. I also enjoyed how the ceremony brought people together regardless of department or job title.

“The work we’re able to accomplish together makes me proud to work at GLS.”

Why should someone nominate a colleague or team for the Circle of Excellence?
A lot of people at GLS go above and beyond their duties every day. Even people who have been here for years still show up to work with the same enthusiasm as if it was their first day on the job. People that have a positive, upbeat attitude and uphold GLS’s values both in and out of the workplace are what make this company so great, and it’s important to celebrate and make examples out of those outstanding employees. A nomination is a chance to show someone how much they’re appreciated.

What’s the best part about working with your team?
I would not be successful without my team in Hamilton. My team is my biggest support system both professionally and personally. Everybody is always willing to help out and never complains about their workload. Their positive attitude and devotion to GLS inspires me to do my best every day. As a team, we hold each other accountable and always make sure we’re putting our best foot forward for the customer and for ourselves. The work we’re able to accomplish together makes me proud to work at GLS.

What was your favorite part about the 2016 Circle of Excellence celebration?
GLS has grown so much in the last couple years, so it was great to meet new people from across the company that I never got to interact with before. Hearing their perspectives, experiences, and struggles gave me a chance to reflect on my own time at GLS, and I enjoyed exchanging tips and ideas that I could bring with me back to work.

What qualities make for a successful GLS employee?
I think a strong work ethic is the most important contributor to success at GLS. It’s important to treat your colleagues with the same level of respect, importance, and commitment as you would treat your customers. People who do that tend to be extremely successful employees.
